Gnrah

Lyon, France, 20 March 2026

GNRAH is a photographic series exploring the celebration rituals of the Agni people, an Akan ethnic group I come from.

Through studio portraits, the project highlights the outfits, colours and ornaments worn at events such as weddings, the dowry and royal enthronement. More than a depiction of clothing, the series questions the place of dress in ritual and its role in passing on status, identity and cultural heritage.

Between tradition and contemporary representation, these images seek to make the symbolic richness of these ceremonies visible.
